INSIDE: Welcome to Day 5 of the 30 Days to a Stress-Free Christmas Challenge! The challenge that shows you how to nail your Christmas planning BEFORE December starts. Are you ready for me to reveal today’s challenge? I think it’s one you’re going to like! Why? Because it’s time to take a break! Let’s dive in and find out more!
Wow, what a week it’s been!
We’ve covered a LOT of ground during the first week of this Christmas challenge! Not only have you offloaded all your Christmas planning thoughts onto paper, but you’ve also started thinking about what gifts to buy friends and family. You’ve figured out where your pockets of free time are and how best to use them. You’ve also created your Christmas budget.
Well done! I’m really proud of you. That’s a lot to accomplish in one week!
Now it’s time to take a break…
With still so much more to plan and organise, it’s tempting to just keep going. To not pause to take a break or celebrate your wins. But if you’re going to have the motivation to keep going and not get burned out, you need to take a break to regroup and recharge your batteries.
And so today, we’re going to do just that! We’re going to rest up and celebrate your progress so far. For today’s challenge, I want you to:
Challenge #5: Take a break!
That’s right!
It’s time to give yourself a well-deserved pat on the back for all you’ve accomplished so far and take the day off! No Christmas planning allowed. I want you to do something that’s just for you. Today is all about taking a break and celebrating those wins.
A few ways to take a break…
Does it feel odd or a little weird doing nothing? It can be hard taking a break when we’re not used to doing it. But trust me, today’s break is well and truly deserved, you’ve done a huge amount this week!
So, take that time, take that time and enjoy it. And don’t feel guilty about doing it – we all deserve a rest once in a while!
Not sure how to spend your time?

Don’t forget to celebrate your wins too!
There might still be three more weeks to go until we’ve finished the challenge, but you’ve accomplished so much already. You’re well and truly on your way to making Christmas happen. So be sure to celebrate your wins!
It’s all too easy to complete one task and move right onto the next without giving ourselves time to feel good about what we’ve achieved. To scroll through that to-do list and feel bummed and stressed by all the jobs we still have to do instead of stopping to feel proud of what we’ve accomplished so far. But when we stop to celebrate our wins we gain confidence in our capabilities. And that new-found confidence motivates us to keep going!
So, take a few minutes to feel proud and satisfied with all you’ve accomplished. Look back through your notebook and give yourself credit for all you’ve achieved so far. Then celebrate by taking some time for you.
It doesn’t have to be anything big or grand…finally having the long, hot bath you’ve been promising yourself for the last two weeks will do! If I’m honest, that’s usually how I celebrate! I love taking a bath and I never have them as often as I like. So, whenever I want to celebrate my wins, that’s how I do it. It’s not much I know but sometimes, the simplest pleasures are the best!
