It’s no surprise that as a blogger I LOVE to write. There’s nothing I like more than to open up my journal and just start writing. But writing isn’t my only passion. I also love to read. But I don’t just read books. I love reading blogs too. And just like I have my favourite authors, I also have my favourite bloggers. Kicking off a new feature on the blog (which I’m calling A Few of My Favourite Things), I thought I’d share five of my favourite blogs. Five great blogs EVERY mum should be following. From budgeting to decluttering and meal planning to embracing simplicity, each one is guaranteed to help you reduce the overwhelm and make family life less stressful and more enjoyable. Want to know what they are? Keep reading!

5 Great Blogs EVERY Mum Should be Following…
1. Simple as That
What’s the site about?
Canadian blogger Rebecca’s blog Simple As That is all about enjoying life as much as possible whilst keeping things simple. She believes that when we fill ourselves up with the things we love (for her it’s photography, crafting, cooking and adventure) we become the best version of ourselves. And when we’re the best version of ourselves we have more to give to our family and friends.
With a focus on less is more, her blog is full of crafts, recipes and tips all geared towards helping you embrace a more simpler life. I love her outlook, her beautiful photos and the calmness of her site. If you’re looking for a life less distracted and want to find more joy in the everyday, Rebecca’s site is for you.

3. New Leaf Wellness
What’s the site about?
We all want dinners that are quick and easy to prepare and a diet that’s varied, balanced and good for our kids. And that’s what you’ll find on the blog New Leaf Wellness. A site that’s dedicated to healthy slow cooker recipes and freezer meals, my family and I have tried and loved lots of Kelly McNelis’ easy recipes. One of the things that makes New Leaf Wellness so great is that unlike most food bloggers, Kelly doesn’t just share her recipes. You can also download the corresponding shopping lists and meal calendars for FREE! Thanks to New Leaf Wellness, getting dinner on the table has never been easier. Whatever your family’s tastes and dietary requirements are, I promise you there’s a handful of recipes here for you to try.

5. Living Well Spending Less
What’s the site about?
The final of my top 5 great blogs EVERY mum should be following is Living Well Spending Less. I don’t know how she does it, but Ruth Soukup is one those bloggers who you can’t wait to see what they post next and you look forward to seeing their email in your inbox each week. I’ve been following Living Well Spending Less for the best part of three years now and it has helped me to make my family life less stressful and more enjoyable in so many ways. With categories that include Food Made Simple, Home 101, Smart Money and Life etc and a tagline that reads ‘practical solutions for everyday overwhelm’, you know you’re in for some great advice. If you like discovering new recipe ideas and ways to live life to the full without spending a fortune, you’ll love Living Well Spending Less!
