Welcome to another FAQ! Every month I answer a question that as a fellow busy mum, I know you’re looking to find the answer to. Normally it’s a question from the A Simple and Contented Life community, but this month I thought I’d do something a little different. This month I’m sharing an FAQ that I and nine other mums helped answer for the blog Simply Well Balanced. The topic? Something I know we all struggle with…decluttering when you have kids!

How Do I Declutter When I Have Kids?
Keeping our homes tidy and staying on top of the clutter can be tough at the best times. Throw our kids and their toys into the mix and suddenly it becomes a whole lot harder. My youngest’s bedroom is a prime example. His room drives me CRAZY! No sooner have I cleaned it up, it’s a giant mess again. I have no idea where all his toys come from. I’m pretty sure they breed all by themselves! Getting him to keep it tidy is a real challenge, and if I’m honest, most days I just shut the door!
Talking to my fellow mum friends, I know I’m not the only one who feels this way. As much as I’d like to find the perfect solution to this problem, I don’t see it happening anytime soon. All I can hope for is to find a few tricks to help keep the clutter in check. And that’s why I was so excited to be included in this post by Lauren from Simply Well Balanced.
In How to Declutter with Kids you’ll find ten great tips for keeping your kid’s clutter to a minimum – including one from me. Always on the lookout for ways to keep the mess at bay, there are few things I hadn’t thought of that I shall be trying! If like me you struggle to stay on top of the clutter, you’ll love the suggestions in this post.
Head on over to Simply Well Balanced to find out what they are – and don’t forget to let me know which was your favourite in the comments below!
Until next time…
