(A roundup post by Real Happy Mom)
Are you a busy mum who struggles to find ways to practice self-care on a daily basis? Me too! Finding time to make our own well-being a priority when we’re so busy looking after everyone else isn’t easy. As someone who’s always on the go, my self-care often takes a back seat. And whilst I know that’s not good, I also know it’s the same for a lot of my other mum friends too. Coming up with ways to incorporate self-care into your day can be hard! After all, what else is there apart from the usual drink more water, do yoga and get more sleep?! So, when Toni-Ann from Real Happy Mom asked me to contribute to her self-care ideas post, I knew I had to say yes.
Not only was I looking forward to sharing my favourite way to practice self-care, I knew there’d be a ton of other self-care ideas I could steal borrow from other busy mums too! And the best part is I get to share them with you…which is what this post is all about!

Self-care ideas for busy mums…
Toni-Ann’s goal is to help other mums manage everything daily life throws at them so they can be truly happy. Just like you and me, she’s a busy mum who wears lots of different hats. Which means she knows just how hard it can be to make time for ourselves! I’m so grateful to her for reaching out not only to me but to all the other mums who contributed. Because us mums work really hard. We could all do with a few new ways to put ourselves first…and who best to offer suggestions than our fellow busy mums!

We can’t pour from an empty cup…
Over the years I’ve learned that self-care isn’t just about our physical well-being. It’s about our mental and emotional well-being too. I try to stay healthy by eating the right things and getting exercise, but I know there’s so much more I could do. And when I take time to rest, recharge and look after myself, I’m a much better mum and wife. I just need to make more effort to build more self-care into my day. And now, thanks to Toni-Ann, I have at least 50 self-care ideas to get me started!
If you’re feeling stressed out or you’re finding life a little tough at the moment, I know Toni-Ann’s self-care ideas will help. Whether you’re looking for ways to give yourself more grace or to simply find more time for you, you’re guaranteed to find a way to bring more self-care back into your life. Head on over and take a look for yourself and be sure to come back and let me know which was your favourite! Don’t forget to keep an eye out for my top tip too!
